September is New Customer month!

September is New Customer Month and new customers mean new business. What will you do differently for your business this month to add new people to your mailing list, new hosts to your calendar and new people to your team?

What You Can Do NOW to Get You Started

  • Reach out to your current customers and hosts and ask for referrals. They know you and love your customer service and will gladly give you referrals. Imagine everyone on your current customer list giving you two referrals this month. Create a fun incentive for customers who give you two new referrals by giving them an entry into a drawing for a special prize, such as the Social Gathering Basket. Click here for great examples of how to ask for referrals in your business (link to Rev Up Your Business with Referrals PDF from September Campaign Toolkit).
  • Hold an Autumn Open House and offer a special $5.00 gift certificate (towards a future purchase and redeemable only through you) to each customer who brings a new friend to your open house. Need information on holding an open house? Visit myLongaberger.com, Training and Events, Training, business Building.
  • Join a local networking group. When you network with other businesses, you will meet new people and make new contacts. Find creative ways to work together to benefit your business and grow your customer base.
  • Find local businesses in your area that Longaberger can complete and complement. Arrange to leave literature, business cards flyers and even a display. Great businesses to consider are: bridal shops, realtors, interior decorators and florists.
  • Support a local cause with a fundraiser. School has started and sports teams, music groups, and clubs are looking for ways to raise money this year. Reach out and offer to do a Longaberger Fundraiser. With 40% donated to the organization, they will be thrilled that you contacted them. This is a great way to show your customer service skills and meet new people!
  • Participate in community events. If you are not participating in a local fall festival or holiday craft show, it’s not too late! Community events give you the opportunity to see and meet new people. Events bring the traffic to you. Look into what local events are taking place in your community and get your team or your Basket friend involved.
  • Add to your customer and host list and add to your paycheck. New Customer Month is about introducing people to the Longaberger Family. For more tools, Host Bundles, and e-cards, visit the September Campaign Toolkit located on the Promotional Tools page on myLongaberger.com.
