A sample letter from Wendy

I'm still short of my sales goal for the year, and I don't have much time left to reach it.  I thought I might try emailing some past hostesses and customers whose workplaces are large and asking them to take up a catalog order or at least lay out some literature in the break room, etc.  Here's what I might say:

Casey,

Wouldn't you love to add a fresh look to your home with some new Longaberger products . . . for free?  Longaberger is offering double hostess dollars in June, and you could qualify for free baskets or pottery by just taking up an order at work or with family and friends.  For example, if you gathered up $350 in orders, you would receive $100 in free products plus two half-price selections.  And the rewards go up from there! 

I'd love to bring you some flyers and WishLists to pass around and even loan you a basket with a few products to share.  I can create a custom email for you to forward to friends as well.  Our summer baskets and pottery are colorful and fun, and of course we still have our useful regular-line items.  You can call or email with your orders, I'll respond with totals, and you'll be ready to choose your fun new things.  You might even get some early holiday gift shopping done!

Our Longaberger sales year ends June 30, and I'm a little short of my goal, so I would appreciate your help in reaching it.  You may have friends and coworkers familiar with Longaberger who haven't seen some of the exciting new baskets, pottery pieces, and other products we have this summer.  Thanks for reading, and I'll hope to hear back from you right away.
