I did not win...

I really wanted to win the Longaberger Valentine's Day Getaway For Two on the world's largest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, to the Eastern Caribbean February 12-19, 2011 — A value of over $6,000 per couple!!  Cruising is our favorite vacation.  I had nineteen entries and it only takes one to win, right?  When the drawing was postoned until Monday, 2/22 it was fine with me.  I had my home phone forwarded to my cell phone because we were out of town for several very important events -
Holly Grace's ninth birthday party,
Jack's basketball game,
a Blue and Gold Cub Scout Banquet, a second grade Greek and Roman Festival and pick up my Girl Scout Cookies
and Charlotte came home with us!
I do not come from a long line of big winners, but I was hopeful.  I know that there are other ways to go on the leader cruise.  Like lots of myDream points.  Unfortunately, I am way behind in points.  However, I do have a KitchenAid Mixer that I dearly love and don't know how I ever got by without it.  And, a new TV, a WII and a WII Fit.  I guess that I will just stay here baking, watching TV, working out and enjoying my grandchildren.  I love all these, but I really wanted to go on that cruise.  Maybe there will be another opportunity to earn it another way.  Or maybe I will get busy recruiting new consultants to our Branch, increasing my personal sales and helping my team grow.  Hmmm... I would really like that!  Will you join me?  We could all be winners!

Saturday Open House & Meeting

It was Saturday, 10AM, cold and dreary outside.
The path had been cleared through the snow
 by my sweet husband, Mickey.
The coffee was freshly brewed.
The cake was sliced.
The water was hot for hot cocoa.
The candy dishes were filled.
The new product display was done,
well, as done as I do.
The cash and carry was out.
The laptop was positioned at WebExpress.
The new Wishists were ready to hand out.
The 'thank you for coming' gifts were prepared.
I was dressed, with make-up!
You know what I was thinking...
...I was panicked!

Every Open House has a panic moment.

And then, they came!
What a relief.
Eight customers and one consultant, Ann.
Thank you for coming!
My customers enjoy shopping upstairs.
My cash and carry items were nicely discounted
with a $50 guest purchase and...
there was the other incentive, too-
the Summertime Stripe Travel Mug-
only $10 with the $50 purchase!
After shopping, there was time for refreshments
and browsing the WishList
and visiting!

At 1PM, it was time for the
Longaberger Opportunity Branch Meeting!
Lynn and I made these yummy candies.
She took a few home..
I kept a few...
and we ate a few..
warm and soft and chewy... mmmmm...
It was so exciting to hand Lynn the
January High Sales Award-
$1664!
And, the door prize basket-
Red for Valentines!
Congratulations, Lynn!
