Creating Longaberger Holidays!

Creating the
Happiest of
Holidays
It’s official – the holidays have arrived! Now is the perfect time to open your business for the season. You are seeing more people than ever, and customers are in the holiday spirit decorating their homes, entertaining and looking for great gift ideas. The new Fall/Winter WishList
® and November/December Flyer have all the answers…now you just need a plan. Follow the strategies below and your holiday will be brimming with green…cash, that is!

What to Do Now
1. Determine how much you want to earn in November and December.
2. Determine how many shows, online and Factory Store sales you need EACH WEEK to reach your goal.
3. Decide when YOU will hold your show for the month, and if it is in-home, online or via catalog. Remember to expand your reach and invite EVERYONE you know – near or far. With the ability to add online orders to shows, everyone can order from your show, whether they can be there or not!
4. Look and book ahead for November and December. Call your best customers and hosts first and allow them to reserve the best dates for their holiday shows. Secure participation in local craft fairs, bazaars and events, too.
5. Mail or e-mail your flyers (and WishLists). With MailExpress Subscription you save money and time!

Action Plan for November & December Week 1
Launch the month with your own show – invite your complete customer database. This is also the time to launch your catalog shows with the goal of closing them all the last week of the month.
Make at least 10 calls to those who received the November/December Flyer to book shows (catalog or home) or take orders.
Focus on host coaching for the month’s hosts.
Weeks 2 & 3
Attend a local craft fair/event with the hopes of adding to your contact list and booking shows.
Make at least 10 customer service calls to customers, hosts and recruit leads.
Week 4
Collect and close your shows and begin host coaching for the next month.

Make It a Show to Remember Thanks for Giving Show
As we prepare to gather with our families, take a moment to gather with guests at a show and have them donate hats, mittens and scarves that can be donated to a local shelter. Consider offering each person who makes a donation, a gift certificate (in a denomination you choose), available exclusively through you.

Deck the Halls Show

Spotlight how Longaberger can decorate and look great, but is functional to meet your serving and entertaining needs. Decorate your host’s room and showcase how each item is more than meets the eye, pulling each piece to set a table or buffet.

Together for the Holidays Show

Demonstrate the functionality (serving), coordination and integration of our products by having guests gather around the table and watch you set the table – Longaberger style!

In the St. Nick of Time Show

A perfect show for a lunch hour, invite guests to attend a quick get-together that spotlights last minute gifts. Look for the Gifts under $25 PDF and Gifts Under $50 PDF in the November/December Campaign Toolkit on myLongaberger.com.

Mistletoe-n-Go Show

Pack a Sisters™ Carry Me Away Tote or Long Market Basket, a few products, WishLists, Flyers and order forms, and carry it with you everywhere you go. Next time someone wants to see more of Longaberger, pull it out of your car and voila – you’re ready!

Looking and Booking Ahead!

Fall is in full swing and is a great time to get bookings on your calendar for the upcoming months! National Sales Leader, Theresa Flood, shared these great booking and Host Packet ideas to increase your bookings for fall and holiday sales:

Brewing Up October Business!

Send a small Halloween Goodie Bag with a few fun treats and a note attached that says, “I’ll TREAT you to a FUN Evening with friends when you host an October Party!

Gobble Up November Bookings!
Send them a flyer that you have created with a fun picture of a turkey that includes the invitation to: “GOBBLE Up the Savings as a November Host!

Deck the Halls for December Bookings!
Invest in a few boxes of microwave popcorn and send a bag with the November/December Flyer to 10 – 12 people with a note that says: “Can I POP over to do a Popping FUN party with your friends in December?” Look for paper popcorn boxes or bags (at your local Dollar or Party Supply Stores) to use as part of your Host Packet or as invitations.
Additional Host Packet Contents:
  • Invitations
  • WishLists® - with the Host Benefits page tabbed
  • Flyers – stamped with your contact information, including your website address
  • Order forms
  • Hostess Bundle PDF from the monthly Campaign Toolkit
  • 25 Gifts for $25 and Under PDF
  • A flyer for your next event
  • Slip it all into a 9’ x 12’ envelope or create a fun Hostess Packet Holder with a festive gift bag, a stocking, a wrapped gift box or build a “Host Party Kit” with a fun, decorated box, all of the tools needed and a Longaberger food item.
Now is the perfect time to hold a show. Focus to work with your hosts, no matter their show type, to keep it simple and successful. Be easy to do business with…make it fun from the start with your Host Packet – they will be EXCITED to be a host!
Remember, it only takes ONE show in each of the next 3 months to gain momentum in your business and put cash in your pockets!
