Fresh Kit for Spring

Team, it is that time again!
Time to freshen your product kit for Spring!
Here is mine.
Probably like most of you,
I want a fresh look
but am unwilling to
purchase all the new products
to get it.
So in this picture,
you will find a mix of new with old.
My only new purchases were napkins,
the Stackable Bowls, and the
Napa Orchard Soup & Salad Bowl.
Oh, and the addition of the
Sisters Earth & Sky Maddy Handbag
Thank you, Longaberger
for the gift at the January Meeting!
I encourage you to look through the WishList
for product the you currently own.
Add a few splashes of fresh and new
to a show order on February 1.
Let me know what you put together
and I will post it!
Also, local consultants
remember that you are welcome
to borrow my kit.
Please give me as much notice as possible
in case I plan to be out of town when you need it.
Can you see the "brush marks"?
They are not visible in the WishList
and we thought that they looked 'dirty'.
But we couldn't find a 'clean' one!
TLC addressed this issue in
Longaberger News, January 27.

IMPORTANT! Napa Orchard Pottery Update

Based on feedback received from the January Leader Meeting and Home Consultants who sampled the items, we are changing the Napa Orchard Dinner Plate, Soup and Salad Bowl, Lunch Plate and 9"x13" Baking Dish from a brushstroke background to a plain cream background. This is a cosmetic redesign only, as the material quality of the pottery meets our specifications. While we work through this change, you are still able to order the Napa Orchard items for your customers. Since we anticipate deliveries of these items in mid-May, it may work best to place the items on a separate order. We are committed to offering this collection through the Fall/Winter WishList and want to ensure your customers love these items and have time to complete their collections. Refer to the Backorder Report and FAQ’s for additional details and updates.

I guess that I am a fruity kind of girl.
Doesn't the Chocolate
look pretty with the Napa?

Remembering January!

In looking over the January sales flyer, let's look at a few favorites!

We never know the reasoning behind product retirements. Sometimes it is because certain color stains sell better than others or certain baskets aren't selling right now, but here are a few products that may interest you.

First, let's talk pottery. The dash bowls are darling. I've sold several sets of these and have no idea why they are being retired....but during the month of January they are on sale for only $19 for the set of two bowls. At this price, it's nice to get a few sets with matching spreaders. Then split up the sets, put a spreader with the single dish, wrap in cellophane and sell at open houses and craft shows or give as gifts, maybe even add one of the Longaberger dip mixes with it. Even just the dish wrapped up makes a cute gift for a very low price!

The photos in the flyer of the "Modern Poppies Print" do not do it justice. The poppies are a bright red and if you are wanting to decorate a room in the black & red, this print is a must. Originally priced at $99, as a half price selection it is only $29.50!

With the Longaberger measuring cup priced at only $21 in the sale flyer, you may want to stock up on a few of these for future shower gifts or again a perfect craft show or open house gift. Fill with a beer bread or pancake mix and a whisk, use some clear wrap and a bow and you have a beautiful gift!!!

Tissue baskets are a MUST HAVE. Perhaps some of the baskets are being re-designed but I can't imagine what Longaberger would do to improve this basket. This is one of our most practical and useful baskets. I use one on the bathroom counter for a tiny waste basket for q-tips and cottn balls. You can't go wrong having a few of these at open house events for cash & carry. Same with the recipe baskets with engraved lids.

Another beautiful basket retiring that is NOT in our sale flyer is the large handled leaf basket. It has a wrought iron handle and is white on the inside of the basket....just beautiful. It's a great choice for a 1/2 price basket.

The American Home Pottery is being retired. It is beautiful....and I can only guess that perhaps it is being retired because our customers could not afford the price at this time and the economy. This will be some of the last pottery made in the USA and may become very collectible in the future years. Choosing the 16 pc. dinnerware set as a 1/2 price show selection may be a good investment!

Be sure to contact your October hostesses who submitted a $250 show. With another $250 or more show in January, they may choose the 2011 Hostess App. basket free or $49 in additional hostess dollars. (see page 6 of the January flyer). This is a nice bonus for our hostesses.

Enjoy the January sale and wishing you a wonderful JANUARY!!!! We still have a few more selling days left. Let's use them up!

Spring Preview

Thoughts from our Team...
(I think that there is something for everyone this Spring/Summer)

Terri, Lynn and I had soup and enjoyed the Preview together.
Terri is excited about the January Jump Start Incentive.  She loved the Nesting Bowls and she really wants the small one.  Anyone want to split a set?
Lynn was excited about the Earth and Sky Fabrics and the new Stow-A-Way Baskets.  She really loved the Large Metropolitan Basket in Black with the Washed Linen Liner.  We wouldn't have put those together but isn't it sharp?
I am excited about the Hammered Metal Square and Arches!  There are so many possibilities for these.  One that I haven't seen is to arrange on a wall as a head for a bed!  The insulated coolers should sell really well for add ons to our customer's existing baskets.  My personal favorite is the set of four Woven Traditions Measuring Cups!

Leslie
I watched at home!!  I enjoyed seeing the New products!!!!!!  Thought it was a little silly.  Still enjoyed it though.  Watched it again the next day and saw a couple more products that I did not see the 1st time.  Ordered the 2 samples they offered.  Loved all the new products!!!!!

Andrea
As for the new product, I do like much of it and I think the Wishlist looks great. I like the addition of black in baskets and woodcrafts. I like the handles on the stowaway baskets very much and the longer embossed shelves. I have a 20" shelf but I am going to order 2 24" shelves for the boys' room to hold their trophies. Cheesy Bacon dip sounds yummy.

I wish they would add a few more products to the American Valor line. Travel mugs, cutting board, other baskets, etc.

I think the potpourri is awfully expensive. I think the Washed Linen and Earth and Sky baskets are a nice update for spring. I am glad they made more insulated coolers, esp. one to hold our 9x13 pan with lid on it. I just wish they would make more baking dishes. I want a deep rectangular pan for lasagna. But that's just me!
