PARTY at Your Home Show!

Are you ready to have a successful home show? Just follow my plan!
OK, get your calendar. I will wait...

...

...

Got it? Choose a date within the next two weeks. One that works for you and your family. Just do it.

Now, get your invitations. Again, I'll wait...

If it has been a while since you had a home show, they may be hiding somewhere. Old invitations are OK or call me if you need to borrow some. I will mail them to you or set them on my porch for you to pick up!

Stop now and fill them out, using a guest list of 25 to 30 friends that includes phone numbers (save this - you will need it later). And, please don't prejudge, just invite the first 30 friends who come to mind. Fill out a few extras to carry with you in your purse to give away when you see an uninvited friend. I know that you probably don't have postcard stamps, but just go ahead and fill out the cards and put them in your car. Find a place where that they will not fall out or down or become buried. Put them where they will be seen the next time that you start your car. Maybe over the speedometer?
Now, pledge to take them to the post office the next time that you leave home, buy the stamps, and drop them in the box.
Now, you are committed. Congratulations!

So, next you will want to think ahead to your show date. Plan to do a few things to prepare. Print this list and check it off as you accomplish these goals.
  1. Send a quick email to your guests to save the date.
  2. Get those invites in the mail!
  3. Call me if you would like to use my samples or anything.
  4. Clean your kitchen, one bathroom and your living area.
  5. Put together WishLists, Flyers, order forms and hostess packs.
  6. Prepare a light, easy snack (popcorn and M&Ms are just fine) and drinks.
  7. Call all invitees the day before your party to remind them. (This is where you need your list.) Call during the day when you know that you can leave a short message. This is the most important reminder and can be done in less than 30 minutes.
  8. Post a reminder on Facebook, Twitter or wherever you find your friends the morning of your party.
Now, the fun begins! Here are some ideas for pottery uses!  Remember that you can use mine!

This is the pottery
I took to my home show on Saturday.
The Beverage Barrel is the reason
for one of the bookings!
The second booking is a result of
mentioning and showing the new
Summer Supplement online.
And the third booking is a result of
our Fall/Winter WishList
to be introduced in August!

Just when you think that you have sold a
Travel Mug to every customer,
something this beautiful comes along
and you sell another...
to a non-coffe drinker!

This beautiful Buffet Bowl
was a great hit!
Ok, here's the story.
A few years ago, my sister-in-law
hosted our family-oudoor-summer
get-together in Dallas.
Do you know how hot the summers are in Dallas?
So, she put water in the Pie Plate,
set a Longaberger Bowl in it
and put it in the freezer!
A few hours later,
she served potato salad in it
and it stayed cold in the heat!

I gave a little easy recipe flyer
for the 9X13 to each guest.
Call or email your request
and I will be glad to mail it to you!
You can make copies for you customers.
Don't we all love to get our hands on new recipes?

The retiring WI Expandable Trivet
holds dinner plates.

The Trivet with the Pie Plate.

The Trivet with the
Buffet Bowl.
So, I sold four trivets to the
four attending guests!

The cutest basket we offer
with the Soup & Salad Bowl!

Don't you love the Dash Bowls?

Please let me know
that you have been inspired
to host your own party!
Follow the above plan and
you will be greatly rewarded with
25% comission,
Hostess Benefits
and future bookings!

Another Success Story

This note just came from another customer.  Will you join me in praying for this little cutie?

Betty –
Thought you would enjoy the picture of my youngest grandson – Luke Timothy Whitaker - taken on Easter Sunday evening. Luke is our little ‘miracle’ baby – my daughter and son-in-law’s fifth child and third boy. He was born on September 18 weighing 3 pounds, 9 ounces at 36 ½ weeks and remained in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Seton Hospital for 10 days and then was transferred to Dell Children Medical Center where he stayed in the NICU until October 31. However, his problems were more than just being premature:
· two holes in his heart - one has closed and the other is ok for now and hopefully getting smaller
· a tethered spinal column - will be having surgery on April 21 to correct that which will hopefully allow him to walk correctly. Without the surgery there is a chance he won’t walk.
· brain cysts – which may require surgery at a later date but do not pose any kind of threat at this point
· developed NEC (necrotizing enterocoloitis) – he almost died at 10 days because of this condition which is common in premature babies. He had major abdominal surgery on September 29 which required the removal of part of both intestines and resulted in a colostomy for 2 ½ months. Then, on December 15 he had surgery to reconnect the intestines and remove the colostomy which was a 5 day hospital stay.
· In late January he was hospitalized again with adhesions (strictures) of the colon related to the December surgery. The surgery for removal of the adhesions was really tough and he stayed in the hospital for 10 days.
· In mid February he was again hospitalized with a possible stomach flu but was able to be released in a week.
· Then, about three weeks ago he developed a severe respiratory infection and was in the hospital for 48 hours for oxygen and breathing treatments.

He is such a happy baby at almost 7 months and weighing 11 pounds. We call him “Sir Smiles a Lot” because even when he was so sick in the hospital he would smile at everyone. His physical development is on target in spite of his small size – sitting up, rolling over, standing up, etc.

I can provide you with the high resolution picture if you like. The attached photo is not as sharp as the high res one.

Yep, pretty versatile basket – for cute ‘little’ baby boys!

Longaberger Easter Basket Success Story!

I wanted to share this sweet note with you from one of my customers.  It is such a good feeling to hear a success story and to see cute pictures!

Betty,

I bought the Longaberger Easter basket this year. I’m so happy. It is a perfect size and just so cute. I love it! We took Nicholas to a couple of egg hunts this weekend but he wasn’t very interested in picking up eggs. It was far more fun to run laps around the field! So we didn’t really get any good pictures. But my sister-in-law and I took Nicholas and his two cousins to JC Penney to have Easter pictures taken. I brought along the Longaberger basket. Attached is Nicholas’ Easter picture and one of him and his cousins…each with the basket. So cute!

I don’t get to buy Longaberger as much as I used to but it sure is fun when I do! Thank you for all your help! I hope you and your family had a nice Easter. Say hi to Crissy for me!

Take care!

Karen
